About Me, Kristin Harrison
Kristin holds a B.S. in Exercise Physiology. She believes strongly in the mind-body connection and is very passionate for all aspects of wellness and fitness. Certified through the American College of Exercise as a personal trainer, she has motivated and encouraged individuals in various fitness settings – clinical, public and corporate, before beginning her journey into the healing arts.
Kristin is a Nationally Certified and MA Licensed Massage Therapist and has been a certified member of ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals) since 2004. She is a Reiki Master, having studied The Usui System of Natural Healing. She has taken various courses and workshops to further enhance her knowledge and skills to better service her clients, including Advanced Certification with Tracy Walton in Caring for Clients with Cancer, Therapeutic Massage for Fibroymyalgia, Reiki, Foot Reflexology, Hot Stones, Chair Massage, Aromatherapy, and Energy Based Modalities.
Kristin is a certified Healthy-Steps Instructor, having trained with its founder Sherry Lebed Davis. Healthy-Steps, Moving You to Better Health with the Lebed Method is a therapeutic exercise and movement program designed to help you thrive!
Offering wellness programs for everyone, from young adults to seniors, regardless of health, age or ability level, the Healthy-Steps program improves overall wellness, range-of-motion, balance, strength and endurance, as well as emotional well-being and self-image. This program can also be done sitting in a chair or from a bed.
This 6 to 8 week therapeutic exercise program was originally designed for women who have had breast surgery, node dissection, radiation or chemotherapy. However, Healthy-Steps has also been proven to be beneficial for individuals living with other conditions such as:

all types of cancers for women and men

upper and lower lymphedema to reduce swelling and increase quality of life

those suffering from any chronic illness such as fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s Disease, MS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, etc.

With two published studies, two medical abstracts, and more on the horizon, this medically based programs meets many wellness needs.

In addition to her private practice in Newburyport, Kristin offers comforting hand massages to patients at Dana Farber Cancer Institute as a part of their “Hands On Care Volunteer Program”. She also volunteers with Beacon Hospice, offering therapeutic touch and companionship to hospice patients.
